To prohibit the display by a store of more than the last four digits of a customer’s credit or debit card account number, or the card’s expiration date on a merchandise receipt. The bill also prohibits requiring a consumer to disclose his or her social security number as a condition of purchasing goods or services, unless the transaction includes an extension of credit, or the disclosure is otherwise required by state or federal law.
