To revise the structure and duties of a legislative ethics committee, among other things replacing a single bicameral body with separate House and Senate versions, and give these an investigatory and enforcement role related to conflict of interest and ethics issues. Under House Bill 4681 these bodies would be exempt from open meetings act requirements. Under House Bill 4684 legislators would have to file financial disclosure reports with these committees, which would not be open to public inspection.
