To increase the penalties for an unlicensed engineer, surveyor or architect to up to 93 days in jail and a fine of at least $5,000 and up to $25,000, with more serious penalties for second offences or if the unlicensed practice leads to the death or injury of another. A person engaging in residential building design would be exempt.
