The House-Senate conference report for the Fiscal Year 2008-2009 higher education budget. This would appropriate $1.769 billion in gross spending. This compares to $1.896 appropriated in FY 2007-2008, which was inflated by the inclusion of $127.2 million in delayed disbursements from the previous year’s budget. The budget increases operations grants to all state university by 1.0 percent each.
