2022 Senate Bill 930

Democratic charter school package – compliance reports

Introduced in the Senate

March 1, 2022

Introduced by Sen. Dayna Polehanki (D-7)

To require the government entities (mostly state universities) that authorize charter schools to submit to state authorities annual compliance reports showing the status of each public school academy (charter school) they have authorized. Also, to require rather than permit the state superintendent of public instruction to suspend the power of the charter school authorizing body to issue new charters if it is not “engaging in appropriate continuing oversight”.
