2021 House Bill 4847

Revise, update court-appointed guardian or conservator rules

Introduced in the House

May 18, 2021

Introduced by Rep. Graham Filler (R-93)

To revise rules and procedures governing a court-appointed guardian or conservator for a protected person, minor or legally incapacitated individual. Among other things the bill would require these appointees to be a lawyer certified by the state Supreme Court for this, and would limit the number of “wards” a guardian could represent.

Referred to the Committee on Judiciary

June 21, 2022

Reported without amendment

With the recommendation that the substitute (H-2) be adopted and that the bill then pass.
