Expand open records law to legislature

To give the Legislative Council appointed by House and Senate majority and minority leaders the authority to deny appeals to denials of a Freedom of Information Act records requests submitted to the legislature. This is part of a package comprised of House Bills 4007 to 4016 that would extend the state’s open records law to the legislature, subject to a range of exceptions and exemptions.
