To create a "Joint Select Committee on Economic Growth," which is tasked with coming up with a replacement tax for the Single Business Tax (SBT), Michigan's unique Value Added Tax (VAT). The committee will be co-chaired by Sen. Nancy Cassis (R-Novi) and Rep. Fulton Sheen (R-Plainwell). Other members include Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-Zeeland), Rep. Andy Dillon (D-Redford), Sen. Alan Sanborn (R-Richmond) and Sen. Buzz Thomas (D-Detroit).
