2005 Senate Bill 763

Ban certain ex-con nursing home employees

Introduced in the Senate

Sept. 20, 2005

Introduced by Sen. Virg Bernero (D-23)

To expand the scope of a law that prohibits individuals who have been convicted of certain crimes, especially those committed against a “vulnerable adult,” from working at jobs in which they provide “direct services” to residents of nursing homes, county medical care facilities, or homes for the aged. The bill would expand this ban to cover all employees of such facilities.
