Introduced in the House

Introduced by Rep. Tory Rocca (R-30)

To establish a state program to collect donations of legally taken game from licensed hunters and distribute it or other food to people in need. Also, to require hunting licenses sales agents to ask whether a person buying a license would like to donate $1.00 to the program, and if so, to collect the donation with the license fee. Note: Several private organizations already collect and distribute wild game to the needy without government assistance, including Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger and ”Hunters for the Hungry”.
