Abortion permission waiver for minor

Introduced in the House

March 30, 2004

Introduced by Rep. William O'Neil (D-14)

To prohibit a minor whose petition to get an abortion over the objection of her parents has been denied by a family court judge from then seeking a permission in another family court division. A minor could appeal to a higher court. The bill is a narrower version of House Bill 4478, which was vetoed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm on Feb. 6, 2004.
