2003 House Bill 4869

Impose regulations on mobile home park owners

Introduced in the House

June 19, 2003

Introduced by Rep. RuthAnn Jamnick (D-54)

To establish a procedure for establishing a mobile home park lot renters “homeowners association,” which would have the power to prohibit the owner of the mobile home park from raising lot rental rates without the association’s permission, or that of an arbitrator under binding arbitration, even if the market rate is higher and potential renters are willing to pay more. The bill would prohibit a mobile home park owner from harassing or evicting a park resident who organizes or joins a manufactured home owners association. See also House Bill 4868.
