To require a school district which provides or contracts for the provision of before- and after-school child care programs to require the program to meet the same state teacher background check, staff ratio, facility standard, and other provisions that apply to public school teachers and classrooms. However, the schools would be exempt from licensure as day care centers. The bill is tie-barred to House Bill 5584.
