To revise penalties for violations of provisions of the state aeronautics code, which is a companion bill to SB 541, which updates the code, including new definitions which are consistent with current aviation practices and equipment, regulations which apply to new classes of aircraft (like ultralights), and adds the mission of acquiring, maintaining, and operating aircraft for the transportation of state elected officials, employees, commissioners, board members, and board members of state four-year colleges and universities traveling on business, and their properly invited guests, to the duties of the state aeronautics commission.
