To require that 25 percent of the revenue received from the oil and gas severance tax during each fiscal year shall be returned to the local government in which jurisdiction the oil or gas was removed, and that the money be used for road improvements, public environmental projects or reclamation of contaminated or damaged land. The amount returned shall be disbursed as follows: 50 percent to the county and 50 percent to the city, village, or township from which the oil or gas was removed. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 31 to 33.
