This essentially repeals the requirement in a <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2011-HB-4625">2011 law</a> basing school employment decisions on ratings in which half of a teacher's effectiveness would be based on student academic progress as measured by actual results on state tests. Instead, the ratings would be based on a system to be determined later.
