House Roll Call 61 on
2014 House Bill 5222: Revise political speech regulation detail

To revise the application of a regulation that requires sponsors of “issue ads” or flyers that reference but do not "expressly advocate" a candidate or ballot initiative to disclose their sponsor if posted within 30 days of a primary election or 60 days of a general election. The bill would impose mandate starting 60 days before the primary election and leave it in place through the general election. See also Senate Bill 661, now Public Act 252 of 2013.
