2012 House Bill 5822

Senate Roll Call 669: Passed

To increase license fees imposed on a wide range of businesses and occupations in which licensure mandates are imposed as a condition of earning a living. The proposed increases are spread among different bills in the package comprised of House Bills 5818 to 5825. Technically, the bills repeal the sunsets of previously enacted “temporary” fee increase laws. According to the House Fiscal Agency, the fee hikes would extract an additional $14.9 million annually from business owners and tradesmen.
