To add an additional alternative to the Algebra II requirement that was originally added to the curriculum requirements for high school graduation under a <a href="http://www.michiganvotes.org/2006-SB-1124">2006 law</a>, but has subsequently been watered down. The bill would allow a student to take a "statistics or functions and data analysis" class instead of Algebra II, in addition to other existing options.
