Our scorecard selects a representation of key votes in this session that might indicate the philosophy and political leanings of legislators on a broad base of issues. It is designed to represent the full spectrum of Michigan's Conservatives. This has been a frustrating session with lots of tax and fee increases and bailouts that offend our pocketbooks. In some of the key bills the Democrats voted against tax increases and bailouts because they wanted more. That has skewed the rating a bit. The scorecard might be used by voters to evaluate who deserves re-election. Where votes are missed we score them as against our recommended position. Your recommendation for key votes might be emailed to micpac.hughes@gmail.com
Errata#1- We changed the 5th issue, roll call 374 (already used in issue 3) to roll call 405.
