2019 Senate Bill 671: Revise state hospital rationing detail (“certificate of need”)

To revise the membership of an 11 member state “Certificate of Need (CON)” commission, which is comprised of individuals representing incumbent medical service providers and unions, and which must give approval before a medical service provider can open or expand a new clinic or hospital, invest in new facilities or acquire certain expensive diagnostic or other tools. The bill would add to the commission two individuals intended to represent the general public.   Official Text and Analysis.
