Referred to the Senate Education Committee on February 9, 2016
Reported in the Senate on April 13, 2016
With the recommendation that the bill pass.
Amendment offered by Sen. Coleman Young, II D-Detroit on April 28, 2016
To tie-bar the bill to Senate Bill 734, meaning this bill cannot become law unless that one does also. SB 734 would repeal the 2012 law that greatly expanded the powers of emergency managers appointed by the state to reform the finances of fiscally failed school districts and municipalilties.
