Introduced in the Senate

Sept. 9, 2015

Introduced by Sen. Tom Casperson (R-38)

To require the Department of Environmental Quality to submit a plan to comply with recently promulgated federal greenhouse gas emissions mandates to the legislature at least 40 session days before submitting it to the federal Environmental Protection Agency. The recently imposed federal mandate would reportedly require 60 percent of the state’s coal-fired generator plants to be shut down and replaced.
