Revise, expand Whitmer adult college grants

To authorize refundable income tax credits for beneficiaries of the college and trade school spending and grant program promoted by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and enacted in 2020 for individuals age 25 and above (dubbed “<a href="https://www.michiganvotes.org/SearchLegislation.aspx?Results=50&EndDate=12%2F31%2F2022&StartDate=1%2F1%2F2001&Keywords=Michigan+Reconnect&op=Search">Michigan Reconnect</a>”), and also for employers who contribute to an employee’s college loan payments. House Bills 6129 and 6130 would expand other benefits and lower age limits.
