Expand open records law to legislators and governor’s office

To establish that the state House and Senate could each appoint an individual to be their Freedom of Information Act request coordinator. The bill also prescribes document retention requirements for legislative offices. This is part of a package comprised of House Bills Senate Bills 233 to 241 that would extend the state’s open records law to the legislature, subject to a range of exceptions and exemptions.
