2021 House Bill 4016

Expand ticket points-avoiding driver course eligibility

Introduced in the House

Jan. 26, 2021

Introduced by Rep. Sarah Lightner (R-65)

To revise a 2008 law that lets an individual cited for a minor moving traffic violation (with some exceptions) avoid getting driver license “points” by taking a driver improvement course. Under current law a person can only do this one time, and the bill would change this to again after five years, but only twice overall.
