2019 Senate Bill 430

Revise sanction for “obstructing” emergency responder

Introduced in the Senate

Aug. 20, 2019

Introduced by Sen. Adam Hollier (D-2)

To revise a law that makes it a felony to assault, batter, wound, resist, obstruct, oppose, or endanger a public safety or emergency response person who the individual knows or has reason to know is performing his or her duties. The bill would remove the felony sanction from “obstructing” and make that action a misdemeanor instead.
