2019 House Bill 5050: Expand state asbestos abatement regulations and requirements

To require background checks for contractors who bid on government asbestos abatement projects, and not hire any that have had criminal environmental law violations within the past five years. Hiring a firm with lesser violations would be subject to restrictions and a public hearing requirement.   Official Text and Analysis.
