2018 Senate Bill 786

Authorize child do-not-resuscitate orders

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 25, 2018

Introduced by Sen. Rebekah Warren (D-18)

To authorize the guardian of a minor appointed by a court under the state Estates and Protected Individuals Code to sign a do-not-resuscitate order on behalf of the child. Under current law the court appointed guardian of a protected adult is authorized to sign a DNR order, and the bill would expand this to the guardian of a minor.
