Exclude federal “exchange” insurance from autism mandate reimbursements

Introduced in the Senate

Dec. 4, 2014

Introduced by Sen. Roger Kahn (R-32)

To exclude from state reimbursements insurance claims for treatments related to autism that are paid by a subsidized policy sold through the federal health care law “exchange.” Insurance company reimbursements were part of a 2012 law imposing an autism coverage mandate on insurers.
