To require the state to provide the spouse and dependents of a firefighter, law enforcement officer or emergency first responder who dies in the line of duty with health insurance comparable to and on similar terms as the coverage the decedent received from any source at the time of his or her death. With the recommendation that the substitute (H-1) be adopted and that the bill then pass.

To replace the previous version of the bill with one that revises details but does not change the substance as previously described.

To eliminate the requirement that the proposed benefits be halted when a dependent is getting coverage from another source only if the alternative insurance is "comparable".
