2012 Senate Bill 1064: Preempt certain local wireless equipment bans

To preempt local governments from banning the co-location of “wireless communications equipment” on an existing wireless tower or “equipment compound,” if only a small increase in height (10 percent) or size (2,500 sq. feet) is proposed. The bill would establish procedures for getting an exception if local zoning forbids the expansion.   Official Text and Analysis.
