2011 House Bill 5049

Revise state park vehicle tax surcharge “opt in” wording

Introduced in the House

Oct. 6, 2011

Introduced by Rep. Tom McMillin (R-45)

To change the wording in the “opt in” language of an optional state park surcharge a person may choose to add pay along with the annual vehicle registration (license plate) tax. The language now reads, “This vehicle will not be used to enter the facilities described above.” The bill would change this to “I am not interested in a ‘recreation passport’ at this time”.
