Increase wage sex discrimination penalty

To increase to $50,000 the fine for a third violation by an employer who pays different wages to men and women who are “similarly employed.” Under current law, wage discrimination is a misdemeanor, and the bill establishes the penalty for a first or second violation at a $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail.
