Expand asbestos mitigation rules, requirements, restrictions

To impose a new $100 state fee on asbestos removal and demolition projects, and put the money in a new state asbestos inspection account the bill would authorize. The bill would require regulators to perform compliance inspections on 25% of all asbestos mitigation and demolition projects starting in 2026. This is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4766 to 4771.
