2020 Senate Bill 1002

End limits on unemployment benefits to seasonal workers

Introduced in the Senate

June 25, 2020

Introduced by Sen. Winnie Brinks (D-29)

To delete the portion of the state unemployment insurance law that specifies the method for determining how long seasonal workers may claim benefits when laid off. The bill is part of a legislative package that temporarily waives some limitations on benefits during the coronavirus epidemic, but this bill would delete this provision altogether.
