Limit state health department’s epidemic restrictions

To limit the authority of the state health department (the Department of Health and Human Services ) to prohibit people from gathering for a professional or collegiate sporting event. The department could limit occupancy to the lesser of 20% of a venue’s capacity or 12,500 spectators. This would apply to NCAA college games, motorsports events and soccer matches. The bill would also prohibit the department from banning convention center events, but it could limit occupancy to 20 people per 1,000 square feet.
