Authorize carnival ride “safety star” program

To establish a voluntary "Michigan safety amusement star program" to recognize carnival ride owners and operators that meet certain safety and operations standards. Owners and operators would have to pay a $350 application fee, and if they meet the prescribed standards would get a flag and other promotional materials, and be on a list of star-rated recipients on the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs website.
