Allow public school grads needing remedial to sue district

To allow a person who gets a diploma from a Michigan public school and upon enrolling in a post-secondary institution is required to take a remedial course dealing with material substantially the same as that covered in a high school course for which the person received credit to sue for $10,000 or triple the of the remedial costs, whichever is greater. The public school district, school board president, district superintendent and high school principal would be jointly and severally liable.
