Repeal particular AIDS and the Hepatitis C program

To repeal the requirements that a Michigan Health Initiative (MHI) Program and Fund started in 1988 must maintain a public clearinghouse of information on preventable diseases, especially AIDS and the Hepatitis C virus (HCV), and conduct a media campaign and produce public service announcements regarding disease prevention and risk reduction. Money for these functions was transferred in the Fiscal Year 2009-10 budget to a state government sexually transmitted disease control program.
