2007 Senate Bill 267

Revise auto dealer regulations

Introduced in the Senate

Feb. 22, 2007

Introduced by Sen. Valde Garcia (R-22)

To revise certain requirements that are established in state statutes regulating the details of the facilities and operations of privately owned auto dealerships. Among other things, the bill would “grandfather” existing used-car dealers from certain new regulations of this type that were adopted in 2004 as part of a new law establishing abandoned car procedures. It would also relax a dealership car-repair facility mandate.
