2005 House Bill 4910

FY 2006 Executive Budget “Revenue Enhancements”

Introduced in the House

June 9, 2005

Introduced by Rep. Barbara Farrah (D-13)

To repeal a property tax credit on expenditures made by railroad companies for track and rolling stock maintenance and improvements. This is one of $200 million in “revenue enhancement” or “tax expenditure” proposals included in Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s Fiscal Year 2005-2006 budget recommendation, and it would increase the taxes paid by railroads approximately $20 million.
