To expand and clarify the right of a grandparent to bring action in court asking to be granted “grandparenting time” in cases of divorce or separation of the parents, in cases where they were never married in the first place, and in certain other instances. Current law limits the right of a grandparent to bring action in court to cases where there is a child custody dispute.
