To allow certain products in retail stores to be exempt from mandatory item pricing if detailed pricing information is conspicuously displayed with the product, if UPC scanners are available for customer use in the store, and if the store’s automated checkout system meets certain accuracy standards established by the state. The bill does not apply to food or nonprescription drugs.
