To authorize up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for a “squatter” who illegally occupies a residence with a market value of at least $100,000. “Squatter” is defined by the bill as someone who has <i>not</i> “at any time during that period of occupancy, occupied the property with the owner's consent for an agreed-upon consideration,” and not a “guest or a family member of the owner or a tenant”.
