2017 Senate Bill 93

Give high school graduation credits for internship or work experience

Introduced in the Senate

Feb. 1, 2017

Introduced by Sen. Tom Casperson (R-38)

To require school districts to give students credit toward state graduation requirements for spending at least four hours per week of getting work experience or in an internship. The credit would equal to that granted for taking one “traditional course” (which is not defined). Students would be excused from one hour of instructional time for each day they work or intern.
