2013 House Bill 4040

Revise perpetrator release notification

Introduced in the House

Jan. 22, 2013

Introduced by Rep. Nancy Jenkins (R-57)

To victims to revise the law that requires a crime victim to be notified about the perpetrator’s release or parole hearing, so that it also requires notification if the offender absconds while on bail or other release, requests a commutation or pardon, or dies; and allow a victim to testify and present exhibits at a parole hearing (rather than just provide a written statement).
