To expand the scope of the law that gives the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and its subsidiary “economic development” agencies around the state the authority to grant selective tax breaks and subsidies, to include granting these benefits to developments within a half mile of a transit station that are selected by agency officials, and to transit stations themselves.
